2 Use Imparfait is used to express the following:
Description: actions that happened in the past. Continuous / Repeated actions

3 Description Hier, il pleuvait. Je mangeais un sandwich
Yesterday, it was raining. We know it was raining, but we don’t know when it started or finished. Je mangeais un sandwich I was eating a sandwich We know that I was eating a sandwich, but we don’t know when, or even if I finished it.

4 Continued / Repeated actions
Les Samedis, je visitais mon Grand-Père On Saturdays, I always used to visit my grandfather. Action was repeated every Saturday

5 Formation Conjugate the verb in the 1st person plural, present tense
Remove the « ons » ending Add the imparfait endings: ais ions iez ait aient

6 Formation (example) Ex. Vendre 1st person plural  nous vendons
Vend + imparfait endings Je vendais Nous vendions Tu vendais Vous vendiez Il / Elle vendait Ils / Elles vendaient
