SITUATION: Jeremy Found learns that the portrait of Doña Isabel was lent to the National Gallery by a woman named Isabel Perez. They meet and decide to go to Madrid to meet with Isabel’s family in order to learn more about the painting. TASK: In groups of 3, you have to write a dialogue between Jeremy Found, Isabel Perez and Isabel’s family. -Jeremy asks his questions in English. -Isabel’s family answers in Spanish. -Isabel who understands Spanish (obviously) translates the answers in English to JF. You will ACT OUT the scene on Tuesday 31st.

INFORMATION: -How did the Perez family get the painting? La famille Perez a hérité ce tableau de la part des arrières grands parents d’Isabel, Jacinto Perez de Buena Fama. Lui-même l’avait acheté en Argentine auprès d’un peintre, un certain Francisco Espejo. -When did they get it? 19è siècle

WRITING: Dans ce dialogue vous allez donc: - faire les présentations d’usage quand des personnes se rencontrent pour la première fois. -vous allez devoir expliquer le vol et la raison pour laquelle Isabel et JF se retrouvent à Madrid. -Isabel va expliquer qu’elle va traduire car ses parents ne parlent pas anglais. -vous avez les informations (F.Espejo, J.P de Buena Fama) -le dialogue se termine avec la décision de partir en Argentine à la recherche de la famille Espejo.
