1. With whom do you have a math class?

Go around the room making corrections and offering help where needed. After most have finished, allow them to work with a partner at their table to correct/help each other. Continue to move through the room helping. After most have finished, go through it as a class. Discuss the common errors and have them fix their own.

À mon école nous avons beaucoup de cours différents et des profs intéressants. Voilà mon emploi du temps. - Le lundi et mercredi, j'ai un cours de musique. Le cours commence à 10h et quart et finit à midi. -L'après-midi lundi, mercredi et vendredi, j'ai un cours de mathématiques dans la salle de classe 43 avec M. Noir. C’est un cours d'algèbre et c'est très difficile! Mais, j'aime bien mon prof M. Noir parce qu'il est très intéressant. J’ai le cours d’algèbre avec Joan. Le cours commence à 14h et finit à 15h50 et c’est très difficile. Students typically struggle with this so do the following: 1st time – speak at a normal pace 2nd time – speak slightly slower 3rd time – speak a little more slowly 4th time – speak slowly When reviewing the answers with students, ask them at which time they were able to understand best. Encourage them to listen to DVDs in French, listen to French music, etc. to help with listening skills.
