MS4SSA Noeud Rwanda : Points saillants May 2017-May 2018 The presentation gives a brief description of the initiative to improve the teaching and learning of Maths and Science in Sub-Saharan Africa (MS4SSA). We believe that In Rwanda, the project will contribute to support the implementation of the new curriculum (Competence-Based Curriculum) in place in our schools. The WB launched this initiative in May, this year when the proposal for the public institutions has passed. The implementation is requiring joint-effort from all institutions engaged in training teacher both in-service and pre-service teachers. These are REB, URCE and AIMS. MINEDUC is coordinating the activities. May 29-30, 2018

3 Plan de mise en oeuvre 3 Programme pilote mis en oeuvre dans 30 écoles
une école par district. 6 excellentes (20%), 12 (40%) Intermédiaires, 12 (40%) 12YBE. les écoles selectionées ont une salle avec 100 ordinateurs portables , un projecteur (certains non fonctionnels) et Internet, Débuté dans les écoles le 16 Avril 2018. Focus sur S1 (Niveau 7) en Maths, Physics, Chimie et Biologie. Le programme pilot va durer 2 ans (jusqu’à 2019 comprenant le reporting) 11/8/2018
