2 When do you use the Simple Future?
The future tense is used to tell what "will" happen, or what "shall" happen. I will go to the beach next month. J’irai à la plage le mois prochain. I shall write the letter next week. J’écrirai la lettre la semaine prochaine.

3 How to form the Simple Future?
Regular verbs (–ER, -IR) -add the endings to the infinitive : Je -ai Tu -as Il/Elle/On -a Nous -ons Vous -ez Ils/Elles -ont *With re verbs, drop the e before adding the ending

4 How to form the Simple Future?
She will copy (copier – to copy) Elle copiera We will listen (écouter – to listen) Nous écouterons They will go out (sortir – to go out) Ils sortiront

I will speak (parler – to speak) He will eat (manger – to eat) They shall live (vivre – to live) She will play (jouer – to play) We shall watch (regarder – to watch) You will listen (écouter – to listen) I shall swim (nager – to swim) They will take (prendre – to take) He will travel (voyager – to travel) We shall wash (laver – to wash)

7 Irregular Simple Future…
There are many irregular verbs in the future tense. Their endings are regular, but their stems change.
