3 29/8 Panne équipement 400kV EDF Localisation: Poste 400kV Génissiat Temps ST :Non impliquée (cause externe) Temps PS, SPS:15 heures Conséquences:Interruption de la physique PS et SPS par limitation de puissance consommée à 70MW. (400kV relié réseau Suisse -> Pulsé interdit) Causes:Dysfonctionnement dun transformateur de tension 400kV Génissiat Remarques:Filtres et compensateurs restes sous tension pour permettre un redémarrage rapide des accélérateurs.

4 30/8 Problème de vide TT60 Localisation: SEXT 6 Temps ST :Non impliquée (cause externe) Temps SPS:164 minutes Conséquences:Arrêt de la physique SPS sur interlock vide Causes:Problème majeur sur carte électronique dune vanne de secteur.

5 Computer Security (1) Recent virus and worm attacks discussed with IT representative (D. Heagerty) SPS cooling monitoring stopped for about one week due to IP blocked addresses, because security patch was missing TCR monitoring perturbed by security scans However, ST control machines NOT infected Total network interruption might be a future scenario

6 Computer Security (1) Controls board is following-up on security requirements CERN wide (U. Epting) Appropriate separation of office machines and controls to be set-up as network interruption cannot not be tolerated, as private networks have been abandoned to use the central IT service (e.g. CSAM, CV PLC communication) Patching policy and contracts have to be discussed in ST Agreement on IT services has to be achieved

7 ST Controls Working Group Follow-up of the ST workshop to refocus STOC work and to treat monitoring and controls in a committee with appropriate specialists Proposal: Monitoring & Controls Committee MCC shall be a proactive committee closely collaborating with the STOC MCC participants representing controls sections of EL, CV and MA Chairman becomes STOC member Budget code attributed to the MCC? More details will be presented by the proposed chairman (D. Blanc) in the GLM
