1 To revise all the letter strings learnt so far.
To test your general knowledge about these letter strings. To be able to use these to work out the spelling link and sound patterns of familiar / unfamiliar words. Task Magic game in team for starter activity(hyperlink in smiley face)

2 Virelangues Tongue twisters
Each student gets a different tongue twister (there are 7 overall). First pupils have to try practising the tongue twister then saying it to the person sitting next to them. To finish students have to underline the common letter strings found on their tongue twister. Volunteers can share pronunciation. Correction on following slides. Tongue twisters

3 Un chasseur sachant chasser doit savoir chasser sans son chien.

4 Tâche de mâcher ta mâche sans cracher ou lâche ce crachat sans tacher.

5 Chaussons, chaussettes chaude et chaussez chauds chaussons!

6 Trente-trois tortues et toi très tordu trottant sur un trottoir étroit.

7 Trie trois gras petits pois ronds et trente-trois gros petits pois plats.

8 Chaque chouette chic choque chaque chapon chaste.

9 Son chat Sasha chante sa chanson sans son.

10 Mon dictionnaire des sons
Show an example of the sound dictionary students will have to fill in for H/K.

11 Le loto des sons! Grapheme bingo:
Each pupil draw a grid of 6 squares in their book and write a different letter string in each one. They choose between: OI UI OU U EU AU/EAU/O IN/AIN ON AI/É/EZ Words used are: Bois, huit, pull, séjour, veuf, bateau, lapin, talon, écoutez, poche, etc
