Où est la France? Et la Guyane française?
Map of the world to show pupils where France and French Guyana are. Get a pupil to come to the front. Teacher could say common things that French Guyana and France have in common. Like the fact they both speak French. It would also be a good idea to ask pupils for other countries where they speak French and show them on the map.
6
Où vivent ces animaux? Pupils say in French where the various animals live.

Names of all the animals in the top box. Put them in the right column depending whether they are masculine or feminine. Work to be done in exercise book. ( 6 -8 minutes). une/l’araignée un/l’ours une/la tortue un/le vautour un/le serpent un/le tapir un/le toucan un/le papillon un/le crocodile Rather than just simply correcting answers you could reinforce their ability to switch quickly between ‘the’ and ‘a’ by calling out ‘a snake’ , ‘the wolf’ etc..Good for pronunciation reinforcement too.
