Listen to song as class (they usually want to sing along straight away) – words on board/OHT Exaggerated actions: eg for Monsieur, mime big moustache, Madame point to wedding ring, Mademoiselle, a wiggle of the hips- (stereotypical, I know, but fun!) Then get students to reconstruct song in groups using laminated cut-up cards with the various sections of the song Listen again and sing along The yr 7/8 girls love this and expect to start each lesson with singing a song – often when we get visitors to the class, they ask if we can do “our” song for them!
