7 Agreement of Nouns and Adjectives
French is a Romance language, which is a language derived from Latin. Other Romance languages are Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, and Romanian. In Romance languages there is agreement between nouns and adjectives. English , although it has adopted many words from Latin, is not a Romance language. It is a Teutonic language, like German and Dutch.
