2 Introduction The Control activities within the AT Department for the LHC, the injectors and the test facilities are coordinated by the at control forum wich... is responsible for coordination of the overall strategy for controls activities in the AT Department. provides a forum for discussion of controls issues between equipment groups and the AB Control group. is the alter ego of the AB Control Coordination COmitee (CO 3 ) reports to the MARIC and to AB-CO Group Leader. can make recommendations for decision by the MARIC and AB-CO GL

3 Covered Topics Identify current and future activities in the AT Department which will involve significant controls effort in AB-CO. Identify resource both in AT groups & AB-CO for new projects including controls. PS renovation, SM18 evolution Coordinate the controls part of these activities to maximize effectiveness and avoid conflicts due to deployment of new hardware, software or tools. Conflict hardware commissioning /usual shutdown activities Promote the control solutions developed by AB-CO for the AT activities to avoid the multiplication of concurrent solutions and development efforts. LSA, FESA, UNICOS,... PLC, VME, Industrial PC,... Identify new control requirements relatives to specific AT activities. Identify the major priorities in the services requested from the CO group, and verify that CO can deliver what is required.

11 MA (measurment & analysis) Développement des applications C ou Labview pour les bancs de test aimant situe au CERN ou dans lindustrie. Mesure magnétique et optique etc. Développement des outils de post mortem pour le Hardware commissioning

12 Les autres sections de AB-CO sont partiellement concernées MI cette section est en charge des interlocks pour la LHC il y a des similitudes entre les systèmes PIX et WIC et le projet DSS même PLC supervision par PVSS mais implémentation logicielle différentes. Pour cette section il ya sans doute des possibilités de convergence et de mise en commun sison des développements mais au moins de la maintenance des systèmes FE est en charge de la mise a disposition des front end et du Framework FESA qui a un certain recouvrement avec SILK je nai pas dinformation sur lusage de ce framework me terme de nombre de système concernés IN est en charge de CMW middleware de communication à linstar de IT-CO pour DIP/DIM
