a)des adjectifs devenus adverbes (parler) fort (loudly)/haut (high) (chanter) faux(out of tune)/juste (in tune) (voir) clair (clearly) (sentir) bon(good)/mauvais (bad) (coûter) cher(costly)/bon marché (cheap) a)des dérivés en > d’adjectifs formed by the femnine of the adjective- douce-doucement lente – lentement formed by the masculine if the adjective ends by a vowel vrai- vraiment exceptions – gai- gaiement gentil- gentiment if the adjective ends up by “ent” or “ant” intelligent- intelligemment courant- couramment

Ils peuvent exprimer – la quantité > l’intensité > la manière > l’opinion > Ils permettent d’exprimer la négation (ne...pas/ne...plus/ne...que) et la comparaison (plus, aussi, moins)
