The Immediate FutureTense 1- Use 2- Formation 3- Time Indicators

To use the immediate future tense, i.e. “ going to…..” What I am looking for: 1. You can conjugate the verb “ALLER / TO GO” in the present tense 2. You can understand what an infinitive is 3. You can use time indicators related to the future tense

1- Use The future tense is used to describe something that is going to happen.

2- The immediate future (in English “going to” + verb) The French structure is the “ALLER” verb in the present tense + an infinitive (that is to say a verb ending in “ER”, “IR” or “RE”). Je vais jouer Tu vas chanter Il, Elle, On va faire Nous allons prendre Vous allez finir Ils, Elles vont partir

Always remember you need 3 parts to form this tense: 1. the pronoun: je/tu/il….. 2. the present form of the verb ‘to go’: vais/vas/va….. 3. the infinitive verb: jouer/finir/prendre

Examples au foot Je vais jouer manger une glace Tu vas du shopping Elle va faire
