Ne…pas and it means no or not. Negative Expressions What is one French negative expression that we have studied? Ne…pas and it means no or not.

Negative Expression Notice that the ne is placed BEFORE the conjugated verb and the negative word is placed AFTER the conjugated verb. Also, please note that pas is NOT used with these negative expressions.
