Languages as a subject choice You can… travel with ease see the world from another point of view improve your ability to learn other languages improve your thinking skills study them at third level as a major or minor and improve your degree grade with a relevant subject for employment use a high grade from Leaving Certificate alone to get a summer job abroad or a job in a multinational company in Ireland

Courses for which French is necessary… Commerce/ Business with French Law and French Arts Applied Languages/ Translation & Interpreting Some political science courses with an international component Useful for UK applications regarding Speech and Language Therapy or Primary School Teaching (where you can study Primary Ed. with MFL)
