NOUS SOMMES UNIS The Forum was established as a collective in 2010 at the same time that the Task Force on Financial Literacy issued their report. We adopted the structure that was set out by the task force with representation from seven stakeholder groups. Financial, public, private, not-for-profit, credit counselling, labour and individuals and families. Embraced the definition of Financial Literacy as having the knowledge, skills and confidence to make responsible financial decisions. For the first few years we worked at fulfilling the recommendations that were set out by the task force. What we quickly realized is that many of our members were developing the resources and meeting face to face with Manitobans. We were duplicating efforts. We undertook a strategic planning session where we refocused.
