Les verbes “re” The time is “hear” to learn a new type of verb conjugation… verbs that end with “re”

Conjugation… what? Just as with “er” verbs (parler) and “ir/iss” verbs (choisir) ALL regular “re” verbs follow a specific pattern. To conjugate the verb, you simply follow a few easy steps… Step 1: DROP the “re” off the end Step 2: Add the appropriate “ending”

Qui est un « re » verbe? fondre ** to melt attendre ** to wait perdre ** to lose rendre ** to hand in, to give back répondre ** to answer vendre ** to sell attendre ** to wait Dépendre (de) **to depend (on) descendre ** to descend entendre ** to hear

Descend + ent (ils/elles) s, s, --, ons, ez, ent are the endings for “re” verbs! Dissecting a verb… Descendre = to go down Descendre descend (STEM) Descend + s (je) Descend + s (tu) Descend (il/elle) Descend + ons (nous) Descend+ ez (vous) Descend + ent (ils/elles)

Vendre: to sell Je vends Nous vendons Tu vends Vous vendez Il/Elle vend Ils/Elles vendent
