Transcription de la présentation:

FORMING QUESTIONS ????????????????? ??

3 WAYS TO ASK YES/NO QUESTIONS 1. Make your voice rise at the end of a sentence (Note: Your voice WILL rise at the end of ALL yes/no questions) C’est ta famille sur la photo? Is this your family in the photo? Ça va bien? Oui, ça va bien, merci.

3 WAYS TO ASK YES/NO QUESTIONS 2. Put “est-ce que” (ess-keu) right before the subject of the sentence. “Est-ce que” has no meaning – just signals a question. Before a vowel, “Est-ce que” becomes “Est-ce qu’ ”. Est-ce que Normand est canadien? Est-ce qu’il est canadien?

3 WAYS TO ASK YES/NO QUESTIONS 3. Add the expression “n’est-ce pas” (ness pah) to the end of a sentence. N’est-ce pas means “isn’t that so”, and can be translated in a few different ways. C’est ta soeur, n’est-ce pas? –She’s your sister, isn’t she? She’s your sister, right? Vous venez du Mexique? –You’re from Mexico, aren’t you?
