Do you remember? Do you remember from French 2/3 how to say “to/for him,” “to/for it,” “to/for her”, and “to/for them”? Do the words “Lui” and Leur” seem familiar? Lui—means to or for him, her, or it Leur-means to or for them

Par exemple: Je donne le livre à Paul. Je lui donne le livre. I give the book to him. Nous parlons à nos parents. Nous leur parlons. We are speaking to them. Marie travaille pour Marc. Marie lui travaille. Marie works for him.

Well……there are more indirect object pronouns: Me—to/for me Te—to/for you Lui—to/for him, her, it Nous—to/for us Vous—to/for you Leur—to/for them

Same old, same old The indirect object pronouns follow the same rules of placement as the direct object pronouns which is #1…….. #2 And in commands…………… #3 And in negative commands……………. #4 In a sentence with a conjugated verb and an infinitive…….
