How to say 'the' Definite article:

In English, you only have one definite article, and it is THE Le Musée de la Musique La Place de la Bastille

In French, everything and everybody - people, places and things - has a gender, they are either feminine (f) or masculine (m).

In French, we have four definite articles: one masculine, one feminine, one plural and one for singular word who start with a vowel: For masculine, singular word: LE For feminine singular word: LA For singular word that starts with a vowel: L For any plural word: LES

Exemple: Le restaurant / the restaurant La machine / the machine Lhotel / the hotel Les tickets/ the ticket

When you use the plural, you just add an s at the end of the word… The s is silent.
