To ask for judgements: C’était comment? Comment tu as trouvé ça? To make a positive judgements: Ça m’a beaucoup plu. I like it. J’ai trouvé ça amusant/pas mal. II y avait de bonnes scènes d’action. Je ne me suis pas ennuyé(e) une seconde. Ça m’a bien faire rire. It really made me laugh.

To make a negative judgements: C’est nul/lourd. It’s not good/dull. C’est un navet. Ça n’a aucun intérêt. It’s not interesting at all Je n’ai pas du tout aimé. Ça ne m’a pas emballé(e) It did not do anything for me. Je me suis ennuyé(e) à mourir. I was bored to death.

To ask someone to recommend a movie: Qu’est-ce que tu as vu comme bon film? Qu’est- ce qu’il y a comme bons films en ce moment? To recommend a movie: Tu devrais aller voir la chèvre. Je te recommend Au revoir les enfants. Va voir les visiteurs, c’est génial comme film. C’est à ne pas manquer! Do’t miss it

To advice against a movie: Ne va surtout pas voir ça reste entre nous. Evite d’aller voir la famille Pierrafeu. Avoid seeing… N’y va pas! Ça ne vaut pas le coup! It’s not worth it!
