2 QU’EST-CE QUE C’EST? As we have learned so far, determinants are used before nouns – they indicate some sort of information about that noun. Ex/ La table = The table (There is only 1, and because it is a déterminant défini, we know definitely which one it is) Ex/ Une école = A school (There is only 1, but it indeterminate as to which school we are discussing – Charles Best? Riverside? We don’t know) This 3 rd type of determinant indicates possession. Ex/ Ma famille = My family Mon crayon = My pencil Mes classeurs = My binders Ton sac à dos = Your backpack Ses gommes à effacer = His/Her erasers

3 THING TO REMEMBER… Just like les déterminants défininis & les déterminants indéfinis, les déterminants possessifs agree in gender and in number with the noun it determines! Ex/ Mon crayon vs. Ma pomme vs. Mes papiers
