1 Révision d u Passé Composé By: Taylor Fowler There are two ways to make a sentence past tense. You can use être, or avoir, depending on the verb in the sentence. For example: WITH AVOIR: Jai visité le Mexique. Nous avons dansé. Tu mas téléphoné. WITH ÊTRE: Je suis allé(e) au parc. Nous sommes sorti(e)s. Tu es descendu(e) du bus. Dont forget: With avoir the subject and the verb do not have to agree, while with être, they do. The passé composé of REFLEXIVE verbs is formed with être. For example: Marc sest promené en ville. Paul et Alice se sont reposés.
