FAUX PLANCHER – Ce que je dois savoir BASE LEGALE: Toutes les zones dangereuses doivent être protégées et interdites d’accès. EXPERIENCE: Les accidents sont fréquents et souvent graves. Plus de 100 jours d’arrêt en trois ans! REGLE SECURITE: WSS: Les travaux en faux plancher doivent être annoncés et préparés (mode opératoire, VIC consignation…). Contacter le TSO pour l’informer connaître l’état du faux plancher. WSS: Les ouvertures de faux plancher doivent être signalées et protégées avec des barrières rigides. WSS: Installer un moyen d’accès adapté (escabeau). Intervenants: Ne pas marcher en équilibre sur les poutres, ni sur les chemins de câbles. ATTENTION: De nombreux faux planchers sont anciens, posés sur chandelles et peuvent-être instables. RAPPEL: Tout nouveau projet de faux plancher doit respecter les règles de sécurité en matière de construction, d’utilisation et de maintenance. Une validation par les experts est obligatoire. Exemples de moyens de protection et d’accès (à adapter à la situation et aux travailleurs) Si vous constatez des faux planchers dangereux >> Balisez la zone, informez le TSO et faites une déclaration A2 EDMS# /2019

False Floor: What do I need to know BY LAW: All the hazardous areas shall be signalized and physically fenced. LESSONS LEARNT: Accidents are unfortunatly fequent and might be very serious. More than 100 days lost during the 3 last years ! SAFETY RULE: For the WSS: Works in a false floor area shall be prepared and announced (Method statement, VIC, Lock-out…) . You can contact the TSO of the building to know the state of the false floor. For the WSS: You shall protect the opennings with rigid barriers. For the WSS: You shall install or use an adapted devices to access inside the false floor. For the operators: Do not walk on the metallic beams neither cable trays. WARNING: Many false floors are old and in bad condition, they are installed on candles sticks. REMINDER: For any new project the design stage shall integrate the safety rules, the accessibility and the maintenance. A validation by experts is mandatory.. Examples of access and protection device (to be adapted to the situation with the workers) In case of a hazardous situation: >> Fence the area, call the TSO, declare the situation with an A2 EDMS# /2019
