The Platform is available as hardware or as virtual machine software running on your servers. From the UVC Platform, you can “turn on” one or more UVC applications by purchasing a license key, which includes a specified capacity and feature set. The UVC platform enables customers to add capacity and upgrade as their needs grow within an application. But, since all UVC applications are part of a single platform, customers can also easily trial and purchase additional applications. This makes it easy and attractive for a customer who, for example, is only using Video Center today, to add other UVC applications to their deployment. At launch, the applications offered on the UVC platform include: LifeSize UVC Video Center for streaming and recording LifeSize UVC Transit Server and Client for NAT/firewall traversal and LifeSize UVC Access, an all-new gatekeeper for simplified dial plans New applications will be added to the UVC platform in the future. And again since all of the applications are part of one platform, customers can easily trial and purchase additional applications as their needs grow.

With our groundbreaking entry price of just $1,500 per flex port, administrators can now afford to purchase enough capacity for peak usage, no longer needing to worry about scheduled meetings. Users simply meet on-demand whenever they like. From LifeSize ClearSea, in the near future, this will mean simply clicking on a third person and escalating to the UVC Multipoint. For any other type of endpoint or client, this means simply dialing a SIP URI or H.323 on-demand meeting address. When building the on-demand virtual meeting rooms, the administrator selects the desired resolution of the meeting.
