La magie! Aims: To be able to understand unfamiliar language through making connections with English and support from images. To be able to use a range of spoken vocabulary through repetition in tricks. To learn some magic tricks! To enjoy using language in a range of contexts.

The adjectives mean – fantastic, marvellous, incredible, super and great You could get the pupils to introduce themselves using their stage name, you might also want them to make a sign for their show. E.g. Je m’appelle le super Simon! E.g. Je m’appelle la fantastique Anna!

Je roule le crayon sur mon pullover These are for pupils to repeat as the follow the instructions. Roll the pencil on your jumper
Je souffle sur le crayon Blow on the pencil

Je fais des gestes magiques! I make magic gestures (i.e. magic type hand movements)
Et maintenant le grand sécret! And now – the big secret!!!
