Qu’est-ce que c’est?

It’s a compound tense that we use in French to talk about things that happened in the past!

How does it work??

C’est simple! It only takes 3 steps…

Subject + Helping Verb + Past Participle

I know all of the subjects! Je, tu, il, elle, nous, vous, ils, and elles! But… what’s a helping verb?

A helping verb is simply the present tense of avoir, conjugated for the subject! You… DO remember how to conjugate avoir don’t you?

. . .

Le sigh

J’ ai Nous avons Tu as Vous avez Il/elle a Ils/Elles ont Study these well my son

Ok ok, I know how to conjugate avoir.

Yes grasshopper. You are ready for the final step. The… Past Participle!!!

J’ai peur!!!

Don’t you worry! It’s soooooo easy! Faites attention!

Er  Ir Re  é i u

J’ai dansé. J’ai fini. J’ai répondu.

Comprenez- vous?

Je pense que oui!

Bon! Now get to practicing!

Ok professeur!

I hope your answers look like…
