CRCINA : Histoire et Géographie 1979 Création de la FR11 par le professeur Bernard Le Mevel Création de l’unité U211 par le professeur Jean-Paul Soulillou (5 équipes, 80 personnes) L’unité est dirigée par le docteur Marc Bonneville en 1995 et devient l’U463 en 1997 (120 personnes) Fusion de l’U463 et de l’U419 pour devenir la U601 dirigée par le docteur Marc Bonneville (150 personnes) L’U601 change en U892 et devient un centre de recherche en cancérologie (CRCNA). Il est dirigé par le docteur Marc Bonneville. Deux équipes angevines sont intégrées. (14 équipes, 297 personnes) La U892 est dirigé par le docteur Jacques Le Pendu L’unité devient la U1232, CRCINA, et est dirigé par Marc Grégoire (17 équipes, 410 personnes) Angers 1987 1995 Nantes the geographical dispersion could be a weakness for our Centre. For Nantes teams located isolated in the north of Nantes, there is the opportunity soon to join us before the end of 2016 at the 6th floor of our building, In addition, with Jacques LePendu, we are now working with the regional instances towards the creation of an Institute of Cancer in collaboration with our clinical partners ICO and Nantes Hospital, Then, this Institute will be clearly referenced and visible. Glioblastome Neuroblastome Mésothéliome Cancer sein The Center is also largely involved at the interface with clinical applications, in collaboration with Nantes and Angers hospital and the ICO. To date, eighteen clinical trials are under development, these clinical trials being developed from the scientific investigations of the teams. The strong interactions with the hospitals and ICO also allowed the production of, at least, 4 biobanks or biocollections validated at the national and international levels. We also have developed core facilities, under the responsibility of researchers from the Unit, that directly contribute to the translational investigations (for example the platform of Development for clinical transfer, the Unit for cell and gene therapies, …). Une multitude de métiers 371 personnes (sans compter les étudiants et les stagiaires) travaillent au sein de l’unité. L’éventail des métiers réunis est très large, avec des formations de base très différentes, cela va du Brevet d’Etudes Professionnel au Doctorat de Médecine, Toutes ces personnes ont un rôle essentiel dans la lutte contre le cancer.
